DELEGATES PLEDGED TO VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN:

MORGAN BEHRENS

No information available

Brandon Combs

Joe Biden will bring order and stability in these trying times. I donated to Joe’s campaign on the day he announced and have supported him since. I know that Joe is someone we as the American people can look up to as our President. His experience in politics, but more importantly his experience as a human being have prepared him for this role. After four years of the current White House occupant, we need someone who is experienced at fixing our nation. That person is Joe Biden. I am proud to support Joe in his run for the Presidency and know that he will leave our
country in a better place. My name is Brandon Combs. I have run successful campaigns for Democrats all across the ballot from city councils to statewide races. I hope to have your support to be a delegate to represent my #1 choice, Joe Biden!

LUZ GABOURY
I have been a democrat since before I could register to vote. I worked many campaigns, some historic. NY Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez, NY Assemblyman Vito Lopez, NY Senator MartinMalavé Dilan and son Assemblyman Erik Martin Dilan, NY City Councilwoman Diana Reyna toname a few. In North Carolina I have ran for City Council and School Board. Unfortunately I lost both elections however the number of voter turnout was incredible thanks to the efforts of my campaign and supportive organizations. Much hype was in our county when I ran as I was the
first Latina to ever run for politics in this county as well as the first Latina to include the community in conversations, solutions and politics. This lead me to create & become the President of the Hispanic American Caucus of Alamance County. I have been sincere to our party and honor its values. Being latina woman in politics representing my district would be an incredible honor. Regardless of the outcome (of me being a delegate), our democratic community will stay true and vote Blue! GRACIAS! Biden 2020!

VELERIA M. LEVY

As a single mother of a 15-year-old son, I understand the power & purpose of Delegate. You represent your community. Many of us have experienced fear for the lives of so many under Trump & experience a small taste of what life was like to fight for civil & women’s rights & the right to vote! Who could’ve ever imagined the imagery that we see now with a Trump presidency? In 2016, I was honored to be elected as delegate & served as Delegate Whip. I understood the responsibility of that role & helped whip votes. Didn’t miss a meeting, was on the floor ON TIME &
made sure my team got on the bus & was there for every vote! It’s is more than you; we’re also charged with sharing the experiences using social media, to excite people about casting their votes in November! I have over 5,000 followers on multiple platforms & will make sure people are watching and sharing! I am asking for your vote as Delegate to DNC 2020.

DELEGATES PLEDGED TO SENATOR BERNIE SANDERS

Lauran Quackenbush

My name is Lauran Quakenbush. I am running to represent Alamance County for Bernie at the DNC Convention. Bernie Sanders has introduced progressive policies that this country has needed for many years. My main goal is to proudly represent the voices that are not always heard, stand up for underprivileged and working poor Americans who have been disenfranchised by corporate policies. I have been politically engaged since 2014 and am excited for this opportunity to be part
of the process. I feel that my life experiences have led me here – to bring positivity, civility, and heart to the DNC Convention. Thank you for your consideration!

ASHLEY STILLER

I want to be a voice of reason and love for not only my community – but for the country, for the planet. Sanders set a wonderful example, I trust him. He is, after all, The Amendment King. I’d like my son and I to both (as well as your kids & grandkids!) have a better future, in this world.

I think it’s time for an autistic, openly queer, 1/4 Lumbee Native Indian, single mom, activist, and artist to represent a diverse group of citizens. I am diligent, persistent, innovative, honest, kind, and I will always be a strong voice… for all of us.

Subject: National Convention Delegation Costs

If you have participated in any of the several online sessions about becoming a delegate, you’ve heard this information: There is no cost to seek election as a national convention delegate, but the cost of attending the convention is solely the responsibility of the delegation member.

Ground transportation during the convention and some meals will be provided.

Members of the North Carolina Delegation will stay together at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort.

Delegates will purchase a package from NCDP for their stay, including hotel, breakfasts, and social events.

Delegates are responsible for arranging their own travel to the convention.

The cost of delegation packages has now been determined: $2140 per person for a single room$1450 per person, 2 to a room$1220 per person, 3 to a room$1105 per person, 4 to a room 50% payment due with room request (2 weeks after election) and final payment due by June 27, 2020. Package includes 5 nights hotel, 4 delegation breakfasts, social events, SWAG, and more!

NOTE: Delegation members are not required to stay at the delegation hotel or purchase a package

If you choose to stay elsewhere, you will still have to present yourself at the delegation hotel each morning before the deadline to pick up daily credentials (time TBD, estimated to be 10:00 am).

Credentials are necessary to attend any convention session.
Delegation members not staying at the hotel can still purchase an “activity package” which includes everything except lodging for $760.

Yesterday, we had our final scheduled webinar about the delegate selection process. A recording is available here

As always, let me know if you have any questions.
