104 Days Until Election Day
Council of State
Commissioner of Agriculture
“Social, economic, and environmental justice are absolutely on the ballot this fall. We must vote our values. We must support candidates who are unapologetic in their advocacy and efforts towards creating a more equal, equitable, peaceful, and just society.” Jenna Wadsworth
“I’d be remiss if I didn’t take some time to address what is happening all around us right now. Here it goes:
The world is changing. It’s time for our state to change with it.
This election is so much bigger than just you or I can fully comprehend in this moment. We all know that 2020 is the perfect storm of misguided leadership on both the state and federal level, combined with a global pandemic, record unemployment, massive social justice movements like Black Lives Matter, the deterioration of human and immigrant rights, the eroding away at our civil rights on the Federal level, the galvanizing point for fighting for climate change, a resurgence in organizing for the passage of the ERA, the Times Up and other movements organized around women’s rights and the violence against our gender, legislative fights surrounding LGBTQ+ rights, and so much more.
Social, economic, and environmental justice are absolutely on the ballot this fall. We must vote our values. We must support candidates who are unapologetic in their advocacy and efforts towards creating a more equal, equitable, peaceful, and just society. We must support candidates who are not just performative allies, but who have actually been there standing on the picket lines or marching beside us. Never before have we been so desperate and starved for authentic leaders who can act decisively and in a way that is supportive of our diverse communities and inclusive values.
This is OUR moment.”

Donate HERE We’re looking at making electoral history this year in Alamance. Join us as we raise money for our first ever ACDP billboard. We’re almost half of the way to our goal already! Please chip-in! We’d like to secure funding for this as soon as possible.
The ACDP Marketing Committee the has been working to develop a strategy that we believe will raise the profile of Alamance Democrats and help us get the voter turnout we have to get. The Marketing Committee has selected a design that we feel captures who we are and what we value. We’ve got a billboard located on Interstate 40/85 between Exits 145 and 147 picked out that we think will allow us to reach as many potential 2020 voters as possible. now all we need to do is raise some money! Our goal is to fund the entire cost of the $3400 billboard through your generous donations. Please consider donating to this fund, as we believe we have a solid plan to make your dollars reach the most voters and potential voters possible. We’ve been too quiet it’s time to make some noise! Give Your Time at Election Time.
Wondering what you can do to help ensure local elections meet the challenges of this health crisis?
Finding election workers is always a challenge and in this election the civic-minded seniors that usually fill these positions should get to sit this one out if they have health concerns. Early Voting workers especially work long days and a couple of long weeks. So if you want more weekend hours for Alamance County voters, giving your time to staff those hours is a great way to help. Also, these are paid positions. More Information HERE
