Planning on Voting?
There are a couple ways to ensure that you will be able to cast your vote in that important election instead of waiting in line on Election Day: either request an absentee ballot or vote early.

Here is a link to request an absentee ballot form in North Carolina. It is not too early to do this.
You can also call our local Board of Elections at (336)570-6755 and request that they send you an absentee ballot request form. Or, if you’d like to check your registration status or register to vote the Times News has this nifty little page. HERE
We can help spread the workload out for the Board of Elections if we get our absentee ballots now!

ACDP Billboard Project
The ACDP Marketing Committee the has been working to develop a strategy that we believe will raise the profile of Alamance Democrats and help us get the voter turnout we have to get.
The Marketing Committee has selected a design that we feel captures who we are and what we value. We’ve got a billboard located on Interstate 40/85 between Exits 145 and 147 picked out that we think will allow us to reach as many potential 2020 voters as possible. now all we need to do is raise some money!
Our goal is to fund the entire cost of the $3400 billboard through your generous donations. Please consider donating to this fund, as we believe we have a solid plan to make your dollars reach the most voters and potential voters possible. We’ve been too quiet it’s time to make some noise! Let’s Help the Board of Elections Keep our Elections Running Smoothly

You can be the friendly face greeting voters at the polls
The Alamance County Board of Elections is looking for Precinct Election Officials and Elections Volunteers. We all like to have a friendly face looking back at us when we go in to vote. There is no one more welcoming to a first time voter or a “first time in a long time” voter than an Alamance Democrat. Please consider making it your face that greets voters during Early Voting or on November 3. INFO HERE
Message from Democratic National Committee Black Caucus Chair
Virgie M. Rollins
This week on June 19, we celebrate Juneteenth. In the midst of this celebration, we know the Black community is still mourning the loss of loved ones to COVID-19. We know the Black community is outraged because of the senseless killings of Black people at the hands of the police and people who don’t value our lives. Over the past few weeks, our community has been protesting the injustices happening to us. It is time to stress the importance of voting. We must elect leaders who are sensitive to our issues. This election is the most important of our lifetimes. The Democratic National Committee and the DNC Black Caucus are fighting to ensure that every person who is eligible to vote can make their voice heard. We will continue to host trainings and provide information on voting issues impacting the Black community. Join us this week for the activities being held by the DNC Black Caucus. |

Join the DNC Black Caucus on June 18, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. EDT for the “Expanding Opportunity and Restoring Hope: Building Black Wealth” discussion. This national conversation will discuss how to create and sustain Black wealth in the midst of this economic crisis created by the COVID-19 pandemic and discuss how this election is important to closing the opportunity gap and building Black wealth. |
